Sheen # 21
Luke 22 verse 19
And when He had given thanks He took bread and broke it and said this is my body which is given for you do this in remembrance of me..."
Luke 22 v 20 Says...
"This is the cup of the New Covenant...
The twenty-first symbol letter Sheen is sharp teeth. We use our teeth to eat our food. Our bodies are made out of the food we eat. Do you know the saying," you are what you eat?" It's true. The food we eat may be good or bad for us, so we should choose what we eat, wisely! In the beginning, in the garden of Eden, God gave Adam and Eve a choice. A choice to eat His way or their way. They chose to eat their way. God told them to leave the garden for disobeying Him. Since they listened to the serpent, he is also guilty of their sin of disobedience. He caused it.
A Satan is an Adversary and an enemy. A Satan causes people to sin. In Hebrew the word Satan is in the word Sin. That means Sin is what Satan does. It's his behavior. Satan causes us to sin on purpose so that it destroys our relationship with God. Then we are left with Satan as our friend, unless we repent. The more sin we commit the more we become like Satan. God designed a plan for us to defeat sin and Satan.
Jesus came to fight Satan and his sinful attacks against us.
Genesis 3 tells us the story of the fall of Adam and Eve into the satanic serpents deception. God then says to the serpent, " Because you have done this you are cursed above all animals and upon your belly you shall go and eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed, He shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel." A seed is a son. The son God promised to Eve was going to be their savior or the messiah.
Adam and Eve got into trouble by their desires and what they chose to eat. Now we can get out of trouble with God by choosing to eat God's plan of salvation for us.
That plan is in His word and is the WORD of God. Reading the Bible is eating it into our minds. At the last supper Yeshua, Jesus ate the passover meal with his disciples before he was betrayed. He took the bread and blessed it and said, this is my body given for you do this in remembrance of me. In the same way He took the cup saying, this is the New Covenant in my blood which is poured out for you.
When we obey Jesus we eat His words. Eating in Hebrew is the same as obeying.
It's the same choice Adam and Eve were faced with.
The Hebrew word Shemah means to eat and drink the Torah's teaching into your being.
Christians call eating
and drinking with Yeshua/Jesus communion!
